The Noah’s Ark story gives us many lessons to apply to our lives today. It teaches us that God provides us with a way to begin again when we make mistakes. When don’t understand God’s plan, we can trust Him to fill our lives with the blessings and resources that we need. Finally, we can learn to take our strength from the one and only true God.
Crazy People
Who builds a boat with no clouds in sight? Have you heard of the current popular Christian song entitled “Crazy People”? The lyrics speak of those who trust in Jesus and follow Him wherever he leads us. In addition, the words remind me of people that serve in ministry. This role in God’s kingdom can be seen as a fool’s errand, but we see the world as a mission field. We have a real and powerful God who cares for His people.
Noah’s Ark Story Activities
How can you teach your students about Noah’s ark? Younger students have a Bible sort and match that offers a hands-on center to review the story. If you are a kindergarten teacher, there are five Bible activities to go along with the story of Noah’s ark. There is a writing activity in the Genesis centers for second graders. Fourth-grade students can learn about the ten commandments as they consider the laws being broken by the people in Noah’s time. This story can also be found in the no-prep packets for early childhood to sixth grade as well as the Google slides for third to sixth grade.
