7 Excellent NLSW Resources to Use in Your Classroom

What does it look like to go and make disciples? In Lutheran schools, we teach students daily about God’s Word. That is the first step to developing a disciple. Second, we correct students to help them grow in their faith and actions. Lutheran schools also have role models who help students see how disciples are called to serve. Most importantly, we share God’s love with families that come through our doors. God is using Lutheran schools to guide future disciples for His kingdom.

Students at Worship

Twice per year, all of the students at my school are invited to come to sing at our church. Most of them are not members, so it has always been a challenge to get them to come. This year, we were incredibly diligent about reminders and asking the kids daily if they could talk to their parents about coming. We had our best attendance ever, and it was the most beautiful sight! Not only did they sing a fun song for our theme and a Christmas program song, but they also led the congregation in a beautiful hymn. In addition to the significant student attendance, our large church was standing room only due to all their parents that brought them. It was such a beautiful sight!

NLSW Resources

Last year, I added an early childhood version of my National Lutheran Schools Week resource to my store. You have all been so incredibly supportive of these resources, and I am so glad to offer them to your classroom. This year, I added a theme-based flip book and an escape room for a one-day lesson if you don’t have time for a full week of options. Are you looking for a more sustainable resource that you can use year after year? There are three new options that fit that description! The mini book, flip book, and craftivity teach students about the value of Lutheran schools. They learn about teachers and pastors as well as five faith actions that we regularly perform in Lutheran schools. Students can easily assemble these three options in about thirty minutes to an hour, and they are fitting for all elementary students.

If you are looking for these ready-to-use resources for your students, check them out in my store.
