The Ten Commandments Activities for Great Visual Lesson Plans

The ten commandments activities can help your students learn about living for God. They can protect us from danger as we strive to lead a life that leads us to Christ. As you teach these to children, help them to imagine a game without rules. How challenging and chaotic would that be?

A Precocious Question

While I have spent the majority of my time in fourth grade, I spent a few years teaching second grade. One year, I was teaching about the ten commandments. As we got to the tenth commandment, one little red-headed boy raised his hand. He asked what a manservant or a maidservant was. When I finished explaining, he replied with a grin, “So like my parents?” Kids say the darndest things!

The Ten Commandments Activities

If you are looking for some ways to review the ten commandments, there are some great visual options for your classroom. There are different coloring pages that you could use as morning work over the course of two weeks. There is a mini book and a flipbook to elaborate on during the study of Moses. Finally, there are posters for the elementary classroom and subway art for the middle school classroom that allow you to display the ten commandments in your classroom.
