National Lutheran Schools Week 2023 is coming soon! Often, we focus on the celebratory aspects of this spirit week. However, Lutheran schools are such a vital part of our faith walk. Lutheran schools provide some valuable gifts to their students and families.
The Value of Lutheran Schools
What does a Lutheran school offer to its students? There are four key components that I am going to focus on today. First, students have the opportunity to become emersed in God’s word and live out an application of their faith. Second, they are surrounded by shared values and a Biblical worldview that can be carried with them throughout their lives. Third, they often receive specialized instruction through smaller classes and higher academic standards. Finally, Lutheran schools are an outpost for the Gospel as students take the joy and grace they provide out into a chaotic world.
Activities for Your Classroom
After all that, let’s celebrate! There are several new NLSW resources for you this year. In addition to the traditional NLSW packet, there is also an early childhood version again this year.
