The Advent lapbook is a great way to teach your students about the importance of this time in the church year. We recognize that God’s love is for all people – wise men and shepherds alike. It also gives us time to prepare room in our lives to spend with our Lord and Savior. Finally, we can share this gift of Jesus’ presence in our lives with others.
A Best Seller
The lapbooks for the church year hold a special place in my heart. The Epiphany version was one of the first Christian products that sold really well in my store. I flooded Instagram over Christmas break with horrifying photos of that product, and I sold so many! I still love these lapbooks for their valuable information for upper elementary students.
Advent Lapbook
This lapbook was designed to be created on a 12×18 piece of construction paper, but it can also be added to an interactive notebook. It includes cover pieces to create an attractive activity for your students to take home. There are four sections about the Advent wreath that describe the meanings of the different Advent candles. Then, there is a section about the four weeks of Advent that includes Scripture references. Students can also learn about the three ways Jesus came to this earth. Finally, it teaches about the blue and purple colors that are used to remember Advent in church.
