Shepherds of God’s People
Have you ever listened to a chapel message that made a difference for one of your students? Have you ever felt comforted after talking to your pastor about difficulties you were facing? Has your pastor ever reached out to one of your school families that was struggling? These are just a couple of examples of the important role a pastor plays in the life of a Lutheran school. Teach your students the importance of this role by using the suggestions below.

Hand-made cards are a wonderful option! Have your students write encouraging notes and pictures. Put together a treat basket from your class! Include all your pastor’s favorite snacks. Learn your pastor’s favorite hymn and invite him to your classroom for a concert. Surprise him with a decorated office. But most importantly, listen to his teaching and lead lives that follow Christ. There is no greater reward for a pastor than this.
