3 Popular Daily Prayer Ideas for Your Classroom

Paul encourages Christians to pray without ceasing. Too often Christians will drop their daily prayer life when schedules get busy or everything else on the to-do list seems to be more important than spending time with our heavenly Father. Teach your students (and yourselves!) to follow Jesus’ example and put their prayer lives as a top priority rather than something that is nice to do if you feel like you have time.

Pray Without Ceasing

I love a good schedule! They give order and meaning to my day and make sure I don’t leave out anything important. At the beginning of the day, I add all my must-do tasks to my schedule. Daily prayers and devotions are definitely a must-do activity. Are they a part of your daily schedule? What about in your classroom? Do you have time set aside for your students to pray? If not, try adding it to the schedule. Drop something less important and make prayer a daily habit for your students. You will be amazed at the results

Daily Prayer Ideas for Your Classroom

Wondering how to get started? First, try these monthly prayer journals! They provide direction but are open-ended making them accessible for all students and all prayer requests. Also, teach your students to recite Luther’s Morning and Evening Prayers at the beginning and ending of each school day. Also, take prayer requests before your Bible time and ask a student to say a class prayer teaching them to pray not just for themselves but those around them.
