It’s everyone’s favorite week! National Lutheran Schools week will be here before you know it. There will be costumes, assemblies, programs, themed chapel services and more. But what’s the point of it all? Is it just to break up the monotony that is school in January? Use these resources to take this week beyond the crazy hair days and family nights to show your students why we celebrate our schools.
United in Christ
Teaching can be a lonely profession. Sure, there are other teachers in your school, but once the kids arrive, it’s usually just you and them for the majority of the day. When you close the classroom door, it’s easy to feel cut off from the rest of the world. And when you’re working late on a Friday night in a dark building, the solitude can weigh heavily. But you are not alone. All around the country, the body of Christ is learning and growing in schools just like yours. We are united in him! This means we are a family. National Lutheran Schools Week is like a family reunion. We celebrate our unity in Christ and encourage each other to fight the good fight and press on toward the goal.
