Have you ever been intimidated when you’ve picked up a book to read? Maybe it’s the length of the book, or the length of the sentences in the book, or maybe you’re worried it won’t live up to its reputation. Those same thoughts can run through your mind when you start reading the Bible. But don’t let that stop you. God has things he wants to tell you!

Where to Begin?
The Gospels are a great place to start when you begin reading the Bible. The story of Jesus is the greatest story ever told, and there is nothing more wonderful than reading about the immense love God has for his people that sent his only Son to die and rise for us. After you have covered the Gospels, head back into the Old Testament to see where the story began. Read about the patriarchs of the faith and God’s interactions with the people of Israel. On days when you are feeling sad, anxious, happy or sorrowful, pick a Psalm to add to you devotional reading.
Resources to Help!
