Do you have a favorite bulletin board that you’ve created? One year, in my first grade classroom, I drew and cut out a red barn for the back wall. It sat on a green hill, and throughout the year my students and I would decorate it for the different seasons: Christmas trees, snowmen, fall leaves, wildflowers. The farm theme was peaceful yet engaging and interesting. I also love a “best paper” bulletin board. The pride in a student’s eyes as he walks past and sees a bright red “A” at the top of one of his assignments is wonderful to see!
Decoration Matters
