Teaching is an interesting occupation for many reasons, but often one of the most frustrating is reaching students of all different abilities, interests and habits with the same lesson! Because there are those who will take the entire class period to complete one exercise, and there are those who will greet you with a, “I’m done, what should I do now.” as soon as you turn around. So, having fun activities like a creation word search in your back pocket is a great strategy for just such an occasion.

Searching for God’s Creation
My parents used to have a picture book about the days of creation that they would read to me when I was little. Four-year-old me loved the pictures because they were idealized versions of the things I saw around me every day. It was fun to think about the day when things would look like those pictures again. While working through one of these creation word searches, your students can think about the first creation, and also about the New Creation that is coming on the Last Day when God will make all things new.

There is nothing more infuriating than spending instruction time finding that one word that remains hidden
