My husband and I enjoy taking our family to the beach every year. I love anywhere with sun and sand, and I’m raising four sons who share my views on the matter! One of my favorite things to do while we’re there is just sit back and watch. The sea birds are soaring and diving. The sun shines on the sparkling white sand. The breeze blows, the waves crash. My children run and jump in the water enjoying God’s creation. The whole thing is overwhelmingly peaceful. Everything is doing exactly what it was created to do. That’s what worship is!

What Does It Mean to be Worshipping God?
Worship is faithfully doing what God has given you to do. It is embracing your creatureliness before God trusting in his provision and care and living your life poured out for others. Worship goes way beyond what we do on Sunday morning. The whole life of a Christian should be one of worship. We don’t get our God stuff out of the way after two hours at the beginning of the week. God has made us his own and now everything we think, do or speak should be something that serves him. So worship God today by finding a way to serve your neighbor. Go for a walk and delight in his creation. Clean your house, finish that project you’ve been meaning to get to, play a game with you kids. Being God’s creature is the best!
