Are you a respond right away texter or a read the text and forget about it for two days texter? I have to admit that I may be the latter. I’m something of an introvert so being always available for communication with other people is slightly unnerving. But I realize that keeping up with relationships takes work! Sometimes it means chatting with an old friend right before bed when you’d rather be tucked up with your book. Or maybe it means following through on those plans instead of canceling at the last minute.

Pray Without Ceasing
This applies to our relationship with God as well. When Paul says to “pray without ceasing.” He does not mean that we should literally be praying every second of our day, but rather we should have an ongoing communication with our heavenly Father no matter what is happening in our life. In other words, make prayer a daily habit even when your own desires are telling you to fill that time with other activities. When we pray, we are reminding ourselves of the trust we have in God and our reliance on him for everything. And we are following the example Jesus set for us who was constantly in prayer throughout his earthly life.
