A Maundy Thursday coloring page might be what you are looking for to help your students understand this important day. What is Maundy Thursday? Maundy comes from the Latin word for mandatum which means commandment. Jesus gave his disciples a commandment to love and serve one another to remember what Jesus did for us. Jesus displayed this as he washed his disciples’ feet.

Celebrating Seder
Celebrating the Seder meal is one of my favorite memories of Maundy Thursday. As Christians, we rarely celebrate the traditions of the Old Testament as we focus on the joys that come through Jesus in the New Testament. However, it is really fascinating to understand the meal that Jesus shared with his disciples in the Upper Room.
