This spring we had a robin make a nest right outside the windows of the sunroom on the back of our house. The boys could sit at the table doing their homework with a robin sitting on her eggs two feet away from them. She was a household celebrity. Every
It’s going to get worse before it gets better. Have you heard that phrase before? For me it brings to mind the morning one of my children wakes me up with the words, “I threw up.” It always starts as only one, but, as every mom knows, that stomach bug
I love the season of Lent. It’s filled with spiritual reflection, haunting hymns, beautiful artwork and the promise of the most wonderful week of the church year waiting for us at the end. People add longer devotions and extra church services to their schedules. They give up pleasures in order
