Teach Ascension to your students to help them understand the sequence of events after Easter. Ascension occurs 40 days after Easter. It celebrates Jesus’ return to His heavenly kingdom.
Fitting Ascension in to a Busy Schedule
Ascension can be a challenge to fit into your curriculum at times. Sometimes, Ascension barely occurs before school gets out, and it gets caught in the busyness of school trips and field days. I love having a short craft option for students to spend time recognizing this special moment in the story of Jesus.
Teach Ascension
I like to use an Ascenion Day lapbook for my fourth grade students. It includes the story from the Bible as well as other facts that are appropriate for this grade level. If you have younger students, a mini book or a flip book is a quick and easy way to review the story. Are you looking for one last bulletin board display to end the year? A craft might be just what you need.
