Teaching about faith in second grade has such a unique component to it. Early elementary students begin to trust in God in the same way that adults do. However, they usually have a more child-like approach to it. That transfers into a faith that is real, powerful, and so sincere.
A Special Place in My Heart
Second grade hold a special place in my heart because my mom was my teacher. She still teaches second grade today, so I feel like it is a grade level that I know well as I have watched it year after year. It is also was the first grade level that I taught, and I looped with them to fourth grade to implement a 1:1 technology program. It has been such a privilege to watch them grow into the young adults they are today.
Teaching about Faith in Second Grade
Second grade teachers are some of my biggest customers, and I am excited to announce a full curriculum for you that is coming this spring. It will include nine units of Bible centers to be used as the main lessons in religion. Then, there is a printable memory curriculum that provides your students with daily practice. Next, there are ten no prep packets that are great for early finishers, snow days, and quarantine lessons. In addition, there is a no prep packet for Martin Luther and the Reformation. Finally, it includes flip books to help your students review the important days of the church year.
If you are looking for these ready-to-use resources for your students, check them out in my store on April 20.
